"Vestigial Organs"

I ran across this "scientific" article today. This should either make you laugh or get a bit angry. The idea that some of these "top ten" are vestigial is laughable.

Highlights include the whale's "hind legs" and the human's "tailbone" and "useless" appendix.

Useless Limbs (and Other Vestigial Organs)

These, of course, are all bunk.

Whales don't have hind legs. They have bones there that support their reproductive organs.

People don't have "tailbones." We have a coxxyx that has an absolute purpose in keeping everything where it's supposed to be.

The appendix is not "useless." It's part of the human immune system.

This propaganda is equal to or worse than anything the Nazis ever put out.

Woe to those who lead children astray....
